I agree with Toyota there is not 1 single reason for their decison. Toyota never said wages and conditions etc were not part of the equation mantra...

As for McCrann's article I used it to back up what I already posted. Doesn't mean I agree with every word he writes. Certainly doesn't mean you can lie about what I actually said blame me for someone elses words or get away with miscontruing what was said.

Again, you're blaming us for a situation you caused yourselves. It's called the Dutch Disease. You've focused so much on exporting your mineral wealth that you're neglecting most other sectors of your economy. Sure, that mineral wealth gives you a lot of money, but that increase in revenues also drives up the valuation of your currency, which in turn increases the cost of the manufactured goods you export to countries with a weaker or parity currency. Combine that with Unions demanding well more than is reasonable and a government foolish enough to lower or even do away with protective tariffs and you end up in your current predicament.

What idiot government would sign an agreement which states that "they agree to attempt to accept each other's regulations". Australia's idiot government and we buckle. Might is right and the US are mighty. So is China.

Australia has had free trade agreement with America for years. Free trade agreements not include a tariff.
