I was referring to the article you quoted in your next post and that's why I referred to a "quote". I also know that Toyota is not American.Rorschach wrote:So just what is wrong with you mantra? I POSTED TOYOTA'S RESPONSE... I disagreed with Abbott and Hockey and here you are rabbiting on about something I never said with apparently the 100% wrong idea I agree with their union bashing. I agree with Toyota there is not 1 single reason for their decison. Toyota never said wages and conditions etc were not part of the equation mantra...
As usual no foul language or lies from me and the usual from you.

I never said YOU didn't know Toyota was not American now did I?
How about apologising for making spurious claims?
There was no contradiction... between the posts.
As for McCrann's article I used it to back up what I already posted. Doesn't mean I agree with every word he writes. Certainly doesn't mean you can lie about what I actually said blame me for someone elses words or get away with miscontruing what was said.
As I have already pointed out.
Once again no foul language or lies.

Oh and mantra... my "next quote" is my next quote not my previous quote or a quote written by someone else, that would be a quoted article or in the case in point, McCrann's quoted article.

Didn't you read my post correctly? I don't know how much clearer I could have made it.Rorschach wrote:Oh and mantra... my "next quote" is my next quote not my previous quote or a quote written by someone else, that would be a quoted article or in the case in point, McCrann's quoted article.

Again, you're blaming us for a situation you caused yourselves. It's called the Dutch Disease. You've focused so much on exporting your mineral wealth that you're neglecting most other sectors of your economy. Sure, that mineral wealth gives you a lot of money, but that increase in revenues also drives up the valuation of your currency, which in turn increases the cost of the manufactured goods you export to countries with a weaker or parity currency. Combine that with Unions demanding well more than is reasonable and a government foolish enough to lower or even do away with protective tariffs and you end up in your current predicament.mantra wrote:How does a little two bit country like Australia compete with such larger nations who barely pay their workers a living wage? Answer - we can't.
A government is only as idiotic as the people that vote it into power. And now you know why I despise democracy.mantra wrote:What idiot government would sign an agreement which states that "they agree to attempt to accept each other's regulations". Australia's idiot government and we buckle. Might is right and the US are mighty. So is China.

Correction> A government is less idiotic than the people who vote it into power. Politicians rely upon idiots to vote them into power.

So Toyota is jumping ship on Australia and for the exact same reasons I gave for Holden giving up in another thread. Well, guess maybe you might want to rethink those trade tariffs "
So it wont be a problem for you Chard to cut and post, if you not a full breed liar!

Which is why the 2004 AU-US FTA has specific mention of tariff schedules, right?DaS Energy wrote:cbard is full of shit there is no Trade Tariff in free trade agreements, that's why Chard cant find one and reverts to his shit purposely designed to deceive.
