Just saw a news report about a man rescued after having gone missing for 2 days whilst out on a jog. Sierra foothills. T-shit. Shorts—in the snow no less...
Everyone is all up in arms in joy and he's ear-to-ear smiles getting loaded up in the ambulance like he's NOT a fucking dumbshit with grey hair; but taxpayers paid for 2 days of rescue efforts for abject stupidity where fucking squirrels and feral cats know better.
I would have been happier with a body recovery, though nothing personal ...

Just thought he'd go jogging in the wilderness in tee shirt and shorts, in the snow. Hmmm. What about getting eaten by wild animals? What a dumbass. Oh and that was right here in America, in the High Sierra (I assume California)

Yeah, California and yeah, a mountain lion coming down on him unseen, sharp fangs piercing the back of the neck and dragging him off to be eaten would have been fitting ... the dumbass would have died a "hero" in his T-shit and shorts ... in the snow.annielaurie wrote:Just thought he'd go jogging in the wilderness in tee shirt and shorts, in the snow. Hmmm, did the article say if he was a young dude or an elderly guy?
I keep picturng him as a skinny old geezer in his eighties with dentures and thin grey hair flying in the cold wind, his scrawny arms and legs white with blue veins and goose pimples from the cold, his feet stuck inside his sneakers and black up to his knees with with frostbite and gangrene.
What a guy, what a hero!

Device exploded in bomber's face after he 'forgot about clocks changing'
Irish bomber blew himself up after device went off too soon 'because he forgot to put his watch forward'.

Irish police believe that a gangland bomber blew himself up after he forgot about the clocks changing for summer time while he was planting a bomb on Sunday.
The police are waiting to interview a man who, it is suspected, was severely injured after the bomb he was planting went off early.
The suspected bomber was seen fleeing the area in Dublin with "blood dripping down his face" after an explosive device planted under a Volvo SUV went off.
The police have suggested that the suspect accidently injured himself in the explosion because he forgot to set his watch forward on the morning of the attack.
"This certainly was a high-grade explosive used in this bomb. It wasn't garbage stuff. It would appear the bomber got his timings wrong," a police source told the Mirror.
"It could be a case where he didn't put his watch forward on Sunday and the timer went off too soon. If anyone had been in the car or walking near it at the time then they would have been killed."
The attack is thought to be linked to criminal gangs.
Supt Dave Taylor said the consequences of the explosion could have been "very, very serious".
"It was a very extensive explosion and it was a very frightening experience for the people," he said.
"We are appealing for anyone who might have picked up a person in the New Street and Clanbrassil Street area shortly after 11pm who was quite obviously suffering to come forward.
"It is quite obvious that the car was the object of this attack."
The owner of the vehicle, a local businessman, has declined comment.
