I watched the first series when I had Foxtel, but have Fetch now. I liked the English version better though.
There was an American one a few years ago. That was funny. Some of the contestants were huge, but baked interesting pies.

I can't stand Maggie Beer and the other baldy guy and the girls who "present" it are really idiotic. Still .... something to record and watch at my leisure. I can flick through on Foxtel, as you know. LOL
I have (for some unknown reason) watched all the Great British Bake Off series ..... not that I cook or anything.
I have also watched the British Masterchef series but never watched the Aussie one.

I watched all the series until I got rid of Foxtel. The problem I found is that it became too addictive. Fetch is so useless - it's rare now for me to sit down and watch something unless it's at night. You can still record shows, but half the time it's pixellated and not worth worrying about. It does have Universal for the cop shows and BBC which has some good series occasionally.
The Fall - series 3 has started on the BBC. Thank God that beautiful serial killer is going to survive that potentially fatal bullet wound.

Too many cooking shows on Telly.... they even have a cooking channel these days.
DOLT - A person who is stupid and entirely tedious at the same time, like bwian. Oblivious to their own mental incapacity. On IGNORE - Warrior, mellie, Nom De Plume, FLEKTARD

I HATE cooking but I do like to see so-called "celebrities" f*** up .... when their pies collapse.
Lots of Gay blokes cook stuff. I enjoy the "pick the gay" out of the bunch of 12 beginners. There is always one in the crowd.

No doubt. I know that most people don't have Foxtel ... just something nonsensical to talk about in Off Topic.

Might lead to people discussing what they have cooking for dinner tonight ... or whatever.

You know how threads tend to go OFF TOPIC.

Never heard of him and had to Google.
Oddly, I am NOT into cakes, desserts or that stuff. I tried all that sort of cooking when I was first married .......
I have never thought of cooking as a sign of LOVE for the husband and kids. It is annoying more than anything ... "cooking" is one thing, and that is the easy part. Deciding what the family will eat tonight and whether you have the ingredients and the energy to do it .... PLUS the cleaning up .... then going to work the next morning, while hubby and kids sit and RELAX and watch TV. Nope.
