We caused the problem, we can fix it.

Moma Nature, your vagina was always a hard hole, but I am home.

We're all made of carbon. Its not so much the excess CO2, its the overabundance of homo-sapiens and the destruction of our lungs (ie the forests) imho.

Haha! I can picture your continent submerging slowly, gasping for air, going under, until only the middle is left as a tiny desert island with a single dead gum tree waving in the wind ...

What a terrible thought ...

Overabundance of Homo saps. causes overabundance of CO2

A global popn of 4-5Bn would be good.

The Earth and I have been at war ever since Bert Newton stopped being an amphibian and became and Australian icon.

Onya Jm! We need to cut down drastically on the breeding, it's over the deep end and approaching critical mass ...

SlimD did touch on an important point. We have been raping, clear felling ever more of forests and buggering up via pollution the oceans so the carbon sinks that could absorb some of the carbon pollution are no longer there! A double whammy!

I have always tried to leave small footprint on the planet's environment. My current car is 1600cc and that is the biggest car I have ever owned. I hate the stupid frigging huge 4WDs/SUVs that never, ever leave the road :) All shiny as. In my garden the mulches and composted manures I have used have locked up considerable carbon in the soil, as have the fruit trees I have planted, etc.
