I think a lot of it is the actual parents haven't 'grown up'. They don't seem to comprehend the concept of personal responsibility let alone responsibility for their families. This is why they do all of those things.. Gambling, alcohol and meth addictions. It is easy for them to blame everybody else for the wretched lives that they lead and they are never strong enough to look in the mirror. Doesn't help we live in a very weak minded society that encourages victim mentality.

The future is screwed. I certainly wont be having any children.

It does indeed. I dont think you can pinpoint it to one specific thing. It's a culmination of many issues that still need to be addressed now, which the gov naively believes they can throw money at and it will be automatically fixed.

I can only come to the conclusion that too many fuckwits are breeding and it kinda makes me support population control. If two fuckwits hook up and produce a child, chances are that child will develop into one due to their environmental circumstances. Essentially people are sheep and few are leaders who can wake up and take responsibility.

Regarding domestic violence there needs to be harsher laws in place and it needs to apply regardless of gender. Hell, build more prisons. It will provide more jobs.

And stop treating this scum like they are poor victims when they are not. True sociopaths will thrive off that shit and use it to their advantage. These goody goody two shoe dickheads that sit on court juries and see the criminal as a victim are not doing anybody any favours in their quest to score moral brownie points. They are just making the place into a shithole..

not really I wasnt spoilt but I am sure my kids got more than I ever did for instance I never had a holiday, but my kids did and I can assure you their kids got more again.....for instance we never bought our kids a car but its the norm today.. unless you were well off I dont know of any kids years ago getting a care before they left school.......look at the phones they have today.... and they seem to have a new one every year.......seriously I dont think any generation has been so spoilt and so throw away...

yet they strike from school to complain about CLIMATE CHANGE as if butter wouldnt melt in their mouths

We have noticed a leftward shift in our education systems. I'm fortunate enough to live in a state that is bucking that trend somewhat and my sons attended a school system that has been more conservative than most. Corporal punishment ended about 20 years ago in TX schools, but they are considering bringing it back. Sex education requires parental consent and the school offers the parents a chance to preview the material. My kids have always had armed police protection and controlled entry into the school. I have complaints and there are teachers that I haven't liked, but overall, I like the schools that my kids attended. My youngest has 1 year to go. Any bias or overreach by the schools has been addressed with each child through our instruction and example. They see enough of their friends with train wreck families that they have learned to trust our judgement over most. Sometimes they learn later by the hard way.

And we have Ivan Milat, the Bernies, the Claremont serial killer, John Wayne Glover 'the granny killer' and George Pell. (Not a killer, I know, but still).

In fact, we have a quite a number of serial killers as opposed to population as a whole. Remember, there's a lot less people here than in the states.
