I have planned to go to Thailand for a holiday next weekend and my partner wanted to do some shopping so of course we booked hotels near the main shopping area of Bangkok, right where the Red Shirt protests are most active. We will probably still go to Thailand but the escalation in violence means a major re-think in strategy.
