I think I mucked up. Perhaps I should not go to parties where the champus flows so freely, but luckily, at least I'm not a politician and even more luckily, I dont have to play up to this horrid little bully O'Brian.

(Disclaimer: just was at a party where the bubbly was flowing too freely, and as they say: in vino veritas).
Re: C'mon SC
You have all missed something really amusing. Tone says you can only believe his "carefully scripted" shit? Well, look at this:
CSS: No new tax
Heat of Battle: New tax for a PPL
Since the PPL is now policy it is the heat of battle™ comments that should be believed, not the carefully scripted bullshit!

hi drunkmonk - out from your self imposed exile ??
how brave of you
When ruddy said garrett is doing a 1st class jod as a minister, then dumped him weeks later ............
.......... was ruddy lying ? Which would be perfectly understandable.
Or was rudd so unbeleviably out of touch with reality that he actually believed garrett was going well??
same as gillard and her BER fiasco

You don't think Garrett did well with the HIP? Weird.
However, what do you think about Abbott lying whether he is mouthing carefully scripted shit or heat of the battle shit? In other words, Abbott lies all the fucking time! And is clumsy at it. Care to tell all what you think about that?
Here is the Abbott/Pell meeting that occurred last campaign

Sprint, is Abbott a liar?
Re: C'mon SC
You political fanatics are worse than football fanatics... did you know that? At least a passionate football follower will concede the faults of their team... but not a labor or liberal lover... their side can do no wrong. The football follower can acknowledge the strengths of opposing teams, but not the labor or liberal lover. It's just absurd!IQSRLOW wrote:You need your arse kicked Sappho.
As a swinging voter, you were warned by all the rightys that this would be exactly what you would get under Labor but still you voted for him?
As a swinging voter I voted for the vision Krudd offered which was far superior to anything the liberals had on offer. No one was to know that Krudd and his cohorts could not govern... nobody! The main issue with the labor party is their lack of governing expertise... we know it now. All these broken promises and half arsed implementations result for poor governance of policies. Ideas are nothing without good governance to see them through.
The labor lovers would counter that we are not in the mess that other nations suffer with the global credit crunch.... well whoop de do! It would be impossible to have such a mess in our nation when our start position was so much better than anywhere else.
None of this makes liberal look any better than the stale they had become and still are.
I can only hope that Krudd is overthrown by someone with the governing vision need to run government, because they have ideas, wonderful ideas for our nation that need good governance. Aint no way I would vote for that pack of stale troglodytes in the liberal party headed by that old fashioned duffus.I can only hope this is a case of once bitten, twice shy and you never make that silly mistake again. With all the pedantic posturing through the media, the only thing that really counts is results.
And speaking of results, I'm in a blue ribbon liberal constituency that has been liberal since the dawn of time, but who do not produce the local results promised, but who are most able at producing excuses for promises unmet.
My vote this year goes to my old friend... informal. I'll turn up, have my name crossed off then walk out without taking the voting papers.
I don't need to. I can see quite clearly that it is a governance issue. Poor governance delivers nothing. If you write down on paper the results that this govt has delivered, the best thing about it is you would save a fucking lots of trees

Re: C'mon SC
sappho - I voted against rudd cause I thought he spouted whatever anyone wanted to hear, with no chance ofdelivering it.
unfortunately he was voted in and more unfortunately i was correct on my prognosis
the libs are not liberal enough, they are far too conservative, but they are a far better option than rudds economic wrecking ball.

What did you see that I didn't see Sprint? How did you know that he could not govern? What triggers were there for you to make such an assessment?sprintcyclist wrote:sappho - I voted against rudd cause I thought he spouted whatever anyone wanted to hear, with no chance ofdelivering it.

Yes I'm doubting your claims... you sound like a lib saying I told you so. But you have no meat in your claims.
