People don't do what they are asked to do. That's why we will never be free of it until we all have herd immunity.

Bastards - let's hope we don't get an outbreak here in Melbourne too.

An international airline crew that flew into Sydney earlier this month has been fined by NSW Police for breaching self-isolation orders.
Key points:

Members of an international airline crew breached self-isolation rules after flying into Sydney from South America
Thirteen crew members were issued with $1,000 fines by NSW Police
From next week international airline crews will face mandatory hotel quarantine in NSW

It comes as NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian today announced that from Tuesday, international airline crews would be subjected to mandatory hotel quarantine for 14 days.

7.30 understands the 13 airline crew fined landed in Sydney on a flight repatriating Australians from South America on Saturday, December 5.

A source told 7.30 that a group of airline staff were caught out and about at a variety of different venues in Mascot when they should have been self-isolating in their hotel rooms.

An initial complaint was made about one staff member leaving the hotel, which was not under police guard, and that after officers investigated the breach they found another 12 airline crew had also left their accommodation.

In a statement, NSW Police confirmed that 13 people were issued $1,000 penalty infringement notices.

It is believed the airline crew has since returned home but it is not known if any staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

NSW Health told 7.30 it could not comment on individual cases.

Currently, international airline crews are able to self-isolate upon their arrival in NSW in a home or other accommodation.

Ms Berejiklian announced there would be two police-operated hotels in Sydney for airline crews to quarantine in.

Reporters all over the northern beaches, no masks, reporting how many people they can see out and about in different areas and what these people are doing. Anyone see anything wrong with this?

Hi BO,
Don't worry - you won't have to put up
with the dirty Dan restrictions that we had in Melbourne.

Hopefully there will be a vaccine by March 2021 but
it always seems another 2 months away.
