I think our FD is a bit of a control freak, and think he believes that if he can harness or entice punters to post their views on his segregated sites, then never shall the two or 3, or 5 meet.

I think this along with swiping free content, this was the original plan, along with promoting left leaning views in a safe environment whereby the " genuinely " right were fiercely outnumbered, right from the start in order to make the left appear victorious. His goal was to control, harness the "Right"...but most of which fled to Twitter, "x", ... amongst other sites.

Unfortunately, the remaining Left just appeared dull , with a group mentality thing going , and because of the in- house squabbles, nothing really ever gets paid attention to.

Ozpol is outdated, needs a fresh coat of paint and some more convincing false right wing posters, who have been created for the purpose of making those on the Left look clever, to the average 17 year old who's never voted before.

Come on FD, lift your act. You have done this tired old routine for too long, and need some fresh ideas.

Naa, I still think FD is an eco-warrorier/older- school Lefty, ( not new style woke per say) and tends to favour the left to the right.

In any case, this is completely his choice, but it doesn't need to be mine, which is why I'm happy to remain here.

It's cozey and comfortable.

We are all different, and I don't take issue at all with FDs politics, it's just I am not overly keen on how certain vulnerable posters are often subjected to abuse, even when it seems justified.

People are who they are, they can't be shamed or berated into becoming someone else.

Monks like FDs henchmen, only this time I think he had to act, or risk being called out for blatant favouritism, "bias".

If you know someone is vulnerable, don't be that person who makes it harder for them.

Ozpols problem is simple, it promotes a culture of bias and abuse , this may have been acceptable 20 years ago, but times have changed, it's no longer OK to treat people like this, on/off line.

Attack the content not the person who wrote it. Simple!

Online culture has changed, etiquette exists, we can be held criminally accountable for harming or harassing others online the exact same way we could be in real life, because the two realms have crossed over now, have merged.

Online life is ACTUAL life, whereas 20 or 30 years ago it was almost a completely seperate world, seperate to the real world.

Times have changed, and we need to change with it.

For example, if Bobby took his life due to the abuse, bullying he copped on Ozpol by certain members, all it would take to have Ozpolitic annilated would be someone, anyone to notify police and the AMCA.

Therefore, to preserve Ozpolitic, FD needs to take care of those who post there and not be seen as a medium for abuse, bullying and harassment.

I believe this is why FD banned Monk. But will he get the message?
Or will he make excuses and say that he is just the victim and only responding to Bobby's nasty historical screen shots , art etc?

It's got to stop , regardless of past indiscretions... find another way to tackle your online foes, in a civilised and lawful way without putting Oz pol at risk.

Old habits die hard, I guess it depends on Monk's ability to change his own behaviour and find more intelligent ways to tackle his perceived opponent, Bobby.

Meanwhile, both will recluse to their wordles and lick their wounds until they're back at eachothers throats on Ozpol.

Monk's definitely the overt aggressor, whereas Bobby is more passive and antagonistic.

I prefer Bobby's temperament to Monk's anyday.... I imagine Monk to be a belligerent neighbour who cannot get on with anyone who won't cave to his standover tactics.

Again, just my pov, I haven't read everything that's happened between them.
