The Chinese live in specific suburbs, they are populating discreetly, but at least they don't generally cause social problems.
Chinese are generally good neighbours and are quiet yet hard working.
The problem areas aren't so much determined by race as they are socio-economic background.

I feel we have enough lower- socio-economic issues as it is, even with our Australians.

Some Chinese fleeing China are those who China has instructed to infiltrate key- industries, government departments in Western countries, with a number of them wanting to escape their Dictatorship, and some just want to give their own offspring a better chance of getting into a highly competitive university degree. The competition in China re- sort after degrees is heavy, and often Chinese will leave China to enhance their own offspring's career opportunities.
Of course, there would be a small number of those who are seeking political asylum, those accused of being anti establishment or otherwise non-conformitive in China I guess.

This is the problem with indiscriminate immigration, you just don't know what your getting, is it worth the security risk?
Same with those we take from 3rd world countries or who paddle to our shores in crappy old fishing vessels.

We seem to not check their criminal histories properly before releasing them into the wild to continue offending here in Australia.

Of course this applies to all immigrants, who've arrived without documentation from places they claim to have lived or been persecuted in.
