I don't understand why the bridge was so flimsy .... pre- stressed concrete, collapsible rails.... do you suppose they'll build it to withstand escalating weather conditions?
To last longer than 50 years next time?

And in the meantime, will they put a ferry service on or is there another way locals can go to leave town?

It's Labor, they'll probably send you all an inflatable raft in the post, and they'll add it to your rates for good measure and insist it cost $10,000.

Five people dead now, one is about 15km from us. Still no mobile. Water gone but ground is still too wet. Nearly all sky is blue now.
SES was better then last time but the flood was higher too.

Today morning is cold, just as good to slow mozzies breeding.
This is bloody terrifying, if not the fear of more rain, the risk of mosquito born viruses, I'm very concerned about a very elderly relative, great grandmother near Grafton. She's unwell, but is not one to tell anyone she's unwell, doesn't like to make a fuss, you know. We have friends at South West Rocks who are currently locked-in, can't leave , apparently Campsys flooded.

There's a polar super blast coming up from the south, though hopefully it's confined to SA and Vic, you lot don't need anymore rain. Waragamba is at 97% and hopefully will hold untill the next downpour.

I'm concerned about disease outbreak, particularly the elderly and vulnerable.
Add to it polluted water supply and sea food like oysters, prawns etc. in estuary and near it.
Floodwater can become contaminated with sewage, chemicals, and other pollutants, making it potentially hazardous. If you suspect your water supply has been affected, take immediate precautions such as boiling your water or using a water filter.

How are you going up there Tld?

Hopefully you've got some things dried out, and with any luck, you'll have a dry winter from here on.

Not that you probably get winter where you are. Lol

I went to put some rubbish into my big bin thismorning, and couldn't because the lid was frozen shut.

The weather bomb has the potential to generate a combination of heavy rain, gale-force winds and damaging surf.

I'm particularly interested in the CCPs and Putins weather manipulation program & technology.
Interesting that we've had all this unusual weather activity following China's uninvited circumnavigation of our continent.

Weather bomb indeed.

Chinese have been keen to buy-up our eastern coastline for years, of course step 1 would be to drive westerners "whites" out first.

For example the Gold Coast

:c

My advice is to stand your ground, it seems to be working for Pauline Hanson.
She saw this coming years ago when the left falsely labled her a racist.

What's racist about simply wanting to protect your own land, country from cunning intruders with an exploitive agenda?

It isn't about race, it's about actions.

Sounds a bit out there and conspiracy'ish I know, but China's weather modification program is very real, and their vessels were scientific exploratory, had geographical mapping technology on board, weren't all warships.
What better country to test this technology?
We are so far away from any other continent and so would be absolutely perfect for weather manipulation technology experiments. It's not so far fetched when not so long ago our allies used our vast continent to test their bombs, why so hard to believe China, with ALP permission wouldn't use us the same way, only a different technology?

Russia might be involved, or know about it, but I'm almost certain Albanese knows, which is why he had very little to say about it when they were discovered by New Zealand to be circling us.

He wasn't concerned because he had prior knowledge of China's " experiment ". How did we react?

As usual, we really weren't phased by it.

Most of us were likely too busy swilling beer 🍺 & watching football, as we are a nation of daft double digit tards.

πŸ˜„ Well most of us anyway.

We were likely holidaying in Bali, or putting selfies up on our socials of places we were holidaying in. Stuff like that.

Meanwhile....... China's working hard to get us purchasing their renewable tech, and what better way of getting us to buy this tech than to convince us our sky is falling, ahem, I mean " Our climate is changing ". .... Did anyone else here think China's dam that's so large that its tilting our earth on it's axis a tad concerning?

None of this is even news worthy, much less interesting to the average Australian.

So long as the beer stays cold and it doesn't interfere with their holidaying and football they don't give a shit.

That's us, aloof and daft.

This is what needs to change before anything else can.

School curriculum is more concerned with woke'ism, gender, pronouns and pseudo- environmental studies.

Education standards need improvement , particularly the fundamentals, Mathematics, Sciences Inc technology and of course literacy. Too much arts and cultural crap, too much pseudo- environmental crap too.

8 hour school days, for those who require extra help in Maths,English or Science.... proper science like biology, chemistry, physics, geology.
Or, Summer school like in the US perhaps.

Something has to be done, we are being deliberately dumbed down for the sake of other nations students outperforming our own.

Doing better than our own kids in our own universities.

The earth is being tilted in favour of woke ideology, cultural Marxism and the tag-along loons who trully believe in this crap.
Don't tell me that China's weather modification program & tilting our earth on it's axis isn't going to have an effect on our planet.

The Three Gorges Dam in China, the world's largest hydroelectric dam, has a measurable impact on Earth's rotation yet interestingly, our envro- mentals take absolutely no issue with this??????

:c ..... This is because they only care about what they are told to care about, can't think independently.
China has to approve what they feel passionate about first afterall.

We have very selfish political enterpneers like Malcolm Turnbull and Paul Keating from seemingly both sides of politics ( well not really, Malcolm's always been about Malcolm) who have invested heavily in hydro-electricity in Australia and abroad, who aren't inclined to undermine China's weather modification program or their The Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric dam.

Do the Greens even care?

Not even alternative or truly independent media outlets will talk about what really needs to be discussed, which is why platforms like Ozpolitic are important. Unfortunately, the left seem hell-bent on undermining these forums, reducing them to trolling haunts filled with halfwits & lunatics prattle, and stalking. Not using them for their intended purpose.

As far as I'm concerned, the only genuine platform left to discuss what's not being discussed in the MSM is this site.

Cracker was good, until it became corrupted with biased and perverted mods, Fairfax dropped the ball, then there were Yahoo's news message boards which were comprised also, then Ozpolitic, which has it's fair share of double-digits, so here is comfortable, just pray it stays this way.

Do Aussies take news or anything else as seriously as they should?

Sometimes I feel that they'll only start to care and pay attention when it interrupts their football.

When China starts purchasing our football clubs, or has this already happened?πŸ˜„

And celebrity or Royal family gossip, we Australians don't mind a bit of this too.

It's all a diversion, and we keep sucking it up. :roll

Mindlessly scrolling through stupid clips on our mobile diversion devices, gulping bullshit in copious quantities.

Will it ever end?
