Hopefully, thanks BO. But when will it be finished? I asked the project manager and he said 6 years? We all laughed, however I wasn't actually feeling any mirth at the time.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 8:12 pmGood luck with it. It should be awesome when finished.

Lol, I must also warn you I can't cook - at all. In fact my cooking "skills" are really pathetic. I suppose it's because I'm not really all that interested in food having to eat g/f these days. Although truth to tell, I never actually learnt to cook and never felt like learning either.
At the moment I am at my younger son's in Lane Cove - they're away camping and 4 wheel trekking over Morton Island in Qld. I've been driving up to shop in Chatswood up the road which I now refer to as Hong Kong. We're outnumbered 10 to 1 by the Chinese. On Thursday I drive up to the older son's in the Blue Mountains. They're having grandparents and friends day at grandsons' school on Friday. I'll stay there for just over a week and then come back down here again while younger son goes with police colleagues snowboarding down at Perisher. I'm a bit of a gypsy at the moment.

Come say hi!
Chattywoo is terrible for shopping. It's too spread out, too far to walk and you take your life in your hands trying to walk anywhere anyway. 3-4 abreast on the footpaths with their heads down and eyes on their phones.
You need to learn Mandarin.

To be able to follow the sun up north in winter and down south in summer is the way to go.

Let's see if I can reply here ... tried it before but as I mentioned to Jasin in another post, it keeps taking me back to login. I will have to start copying everything before I try to post otherwise I will lose it.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 10:43 amCome say hi!![]()

Is that what they call Chatswood now? Chattywoo? I remember as a kid Chatswood was my stamping ground. It was where we always had to come to shop, to get the trains, to do anything really. In those days we always knew that the area that is now Chatswood was originally known as Chatty's Wood. That was because a young girl called Chatty used to go there to play and collect wildflowers. When people starting moving there it was shortened to Chatswood.
But yes, Chattywoo is more appropriate given the overwhelming numbers of Chinese living there. But I still have to shop there because they have a Myer store in Westfield.

Lived a few years at Kirribilli. Ventured to Chatswood a few times. Didn't like it, just a tall building, very shadowed oppressive feeling. Lots of Japs.
You can't cook Aquarius? Oh. Maybe Tallo's place would be the better option or we'll both starve. Lol
