Could hardly have done worse!

While all that revenue was being wasted Labor was pointing out the skills gap that H&C just sat and watched, Labor was shouting about the infrastructure spending that H&C didn’t do, apart from the white elephant Alice Springs to Darwin rail line, so I think I am on very firm ground here.

Labor would also not have gone into Iraq!

All in all, Little Johnny and Jellyback were a disaster for Australia! It was just the mining boom papered over their many faults and let them present themselves as great economic managers. I mean, Little Johnny was the most inept, disastrous Treasurer this unfortunate land ever had, scoring record deficits, interest rates, inflation and unemployment. The idea that this klutz was a great PM is ludicrous!

Johnny the Liar was on full display at the Qanda the compliant/complicit ABC let him have to boost his autobiography. He sat there and told exactly the same fucking lies he did when he was PM—three years to sit and think and not one thing had changed. He did not even have the wit to think that if he hinted that Lazurus Rising told the truth about a few of his dirty deals, now that he wasn’t PM anymore and didn’t have to lie, that he would sell many, many more books.

I imagine that the guy that threw his shoes at Little Johnny—soft shoes that were wide of the mark—did that in the spirit of the Iraqis that believe showing someone the sole of your shoes is a deadly insult. Remember the Iraqis pelting the fallen statue of Sadam with their shoes? Good on that guy, Little Johnny, “Honest John” “the Lying Rodent” (the last two titles given to him, the first satirically, by his fellow Lib Parliamentarians) was and is a contemptible turd. His whole life a lie.

A contemptible turd sucking deeply on the public tit!

Thank god for JH

If labor were in power the country would have been completely fucked. Second longest serving PM in Australia's history and left with a massive surplus tells you all you need to know.

A statesman like man you rarely see in todays politics, especially the labor side where the party is full of insipid backstabbers and supported by whining little bitches like JM.

I can see why you have trouble getting over your hate for him. Your side has nothing to offer

Not just Qanda, the Rodent is digging in to the taxpayers pocket via ABC radio in each state. No shame there, sucking on the taxpayer teat is a proud Howard family tradition since 1918!

Labor would also not have gone into Iraq!
Monk,

I have to hotly dispute this statement.

Australia has always been 2nd behind the UK in following the US into war. Labor would have gone in Iraq no matter who was in power. Don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise. When it come to war, we the the 52 state of the US just behind the UK.

Also,

Do you reall ythink we would be in surplus if labor had been in government all those years... do you really. Now be honest here. They have different ideologies and labor's would have spent the surplus in grand schemes. Leave aside your partisan views in your response.
Always remember what you post, send or do on the internet is not private and you are responsible.

Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

In Monks fantasy world Labor would have built a high speed rail network between every city where broadband was pumped down the electric cables and commuters would be able to access free mobile broadband through the govt installed wifi in every railcar.

When you alight, the solar powered govt subsided taxi would pick you up to take you to the Redfern hotel where the local indigenous would not only greet you on the way with a friendly hello, but the entire hotel would be staffed and run by them exclusively and better than the Hilton.

Later on you can be picked up by the taxi to attend the compulsory Karl Marx tribute concert where your compulsory donation is collected by unions to bolster their imaginary surplus

Labor would not have frittered away $400Bn in pork barreling and tax cuts for the rich, tax cuts that as blind Freddy, but not old Jellyback, could see were sustainable only as long as the mining boom was roaring along. Mining booms always end.

So, the present deficit would not be as deep if Labor had been in government 2001-7.

H&C were extremely fortunate: they took power when the 90s recession was practically over, then had the mining boom come along when they had flogged off, cheap, all the family silver. But they were crap, dull and fucked up whatever they touched.

Say H&C had fluked a win in 2007. What would have happened when the GFC hit? Tip would have wanted to give more tax cuts as “stimulus”—that is what the Libs were crapping on about when the GFC hit. So, no effective stimulus, unemployment zooms to say 8% pretty quickly, Tip is looking at a real big deficit, caused by his own tax cuts of course. WTF would the Libs have done then? Do a bit of stimulus spending, already too late by then, so deficit blows out even more, so they rein in the stimulus and start cutting spending. That is what the Libs are calling for now. Meantime the banks are calling Tip, who would be working on his second ulcer by now, so what do they do, maybe institute a wholesale funding guarantee, what about lending? Again, a token gesture, guarantee deposits up to $20K, that is what Turnbull was calling for. So, suddenly there is a huge kerfuffle as people and businesses start withdrawing amounts over $20K to deposit into other banks and institutions, and a run would have developed on at least one bank, probably the ANZ the smallest of the big 4 plus one or more regionals, building societies etc. In all this panic people stop buying, businesses go broke and unemployment goes through the roof as does unemployment benefits paid.

So, 15% unemployed, one large bank fallen over, a $1Trn deficit. I think Australia dodged a bullet, don’t you? And mining would not have been enough, even after China had stimulated its economy and started buying our dirt again, so the tens of thousands of miners sacked would mostly have been rehired but all the other problems remained.

Howard and Costello were unmitigated disasters, no wonder they are both sucking from the public teat now!

I see Pavlov’s dog barked again. What a dull dog.

Now I have been comparing LOWIQ to Pavlov’s dog and want to apologise for that.

To Pavlov’s dog—sorry mate.

Considering the less than juvenile intellectual and emotional development displayed by LOWIQ I will consider him an excited, interminably yapping, irritating little pekinese.
Yap yap yap yip!
