Naa, you didn't miss much Skippy, just the usual post-election dysphoria experienced by a few who thought they'd get the keys to the city but didn't it seems.
Thank Christ for that....
I'm not going to get too cocky, but I think finally the "gods" have finally figured out who the trouble makers are.
This and may have thwarted a forum wasteland.

It will be back...not as itself, but if it follows it's usual MOA, it will creep back in and start causing shit as soon as it thinks we have dropped the ball.IQS.RLOW wrote:...and fucking stay out!Jovial Monk wrote:Hmmm so basically boxy still in charge, if jointly, neither Aussie not boxy can make any real change like get rid of the stupid edit limit, get a newby involved etc.

It doesn't like to lose.
It's a malignant little unit, it's probably plotting it's next plan of attack as we speak.

Hmmmmmmm cunning and illegal move by FD, Aussie can’t create trouble—and boxy now won’t run off and start another spin off board! Illegal move—against FD’s own constitution just like boxy’s way of running the election was. That failed, so I guess boxy and FD put their heads together came up with this botch of a compromise?
At the least, if the Admin job wasn’t really up for grabs, the mods should be Aussie and Aussie’s choice of mod. Too bad Aussie, you should have nominated someone like I said all along. Yes FD should have spoken with you but grownups realise the world ain’t fair.
It stinks tho.
I suggest whichever of you do it that you get rid of IQ and mellie because you will have enough trouble this year without those two wannabe trolls.

I think it was an excellent solution, but I don't understand how it's illegal. Would PA's constitution stand up in Court?
Look Monk - face facts - the scheme you and Aussie had planned wouldn't have worked. The only thing that is regretful is that AiA has gone - he was a moderate moderator and helped balance this board.

Haha - if you look at the "Global Moderators" list - it hasn't changed since 2007. Boxy and Aussie must have been running this place together back then.skippy wrote:So it looks like I missed a lot.

We should look on the bright side, at least the forum has had traffic for the past few weeks, now it is obvious that nothing will change and its back to normal the place will slip back into a slumber until this time next year.

Yes - it always does fall back into slumber Skippy, although with Mellie here - it's improved considerably and attracted more contributions. Thanks Mel.
Still - I don't know if Aussie will give up easily. I think he's determined to get the "keys".

Re: Position of Moderator
I remember Aussie saying something about the constitution elections being for a mod and not admin... and that he would change the wording to reflect the real position of 'exalted leader'. So... it looks to me as though the constitution has gone and bit Aussie in the butt again... first because there is no sunset clause on petitions and second because the elections are for mod and not admin.
Doesn't explain why Boxy still holds global mod status though.
